When I was little, I always dreamed of owning my very own jaguar, but we all know that just wasn’t going to happen. As I grew older, I discovered Bengal kittens, a domesticated breed with the most beautiful patterns. I fell in love and knew that someday I would have one! Eventually, I did—I actually got two wonderful sisters. Then we welcomed another, and now another. Now, I’m proud to say I’m a breeder, but not just any breeder; we are a TICA registered cattery. Our cattery adheres to the highest cat breeding standards, including genetic screening of our selected adults, ensuring that the healthiest kittens join your family.
We are a small family-operated cattery, SanDiego Bengal Feline Friend’s, where we specialize in breeding Bengal kittens that excel in temperament and exhibit the striking, bold body structure and markings characteristic of wild cats. By choosing to remain a small cattery, we prioritize quality over quantity, allowing us to devote the necessary love and attention to all our cats and kittens. This commitment to our cats sets us apart from larger catteries, ensuring that our Bengal kittens leave us as well-socialized, affectionate, and confident young cats. As a TICA registered cattery, we adhere to the strict cat breeding standards set out by TICA, guaranteeing that our kittens are bred and raised to the highest standards, leaving us fully vaccinated and spayed or neutered at the appropriate age.
In our TICA registered cattery, we prioritize four main areas: health, nutrition, temperament, and socialization, especially when it comes to our Bengal kittens. Ensuring healthy cats is crucial to our cat breeding standards, which is why all of our breeding lines are meticulously screened for PRA-b (Progressive Retinal Atrophy), PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), and HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy). Our breeding queens and studs undergo annual screenings, are vet checked, vaccinated each year, treated for fleas as necessary, and wormed at the recommended intervals.
